Welcome to the Dungeons & Dynasties Wiki (“we,” “our,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit https://dungeonsanddynasties.com (the “Website”).
About this site
The Dungeons & Dynasties Wiki is a free, community-run reference site for the guild-management sim Dungeons & Dynasties. It requires no account, and we never ask for your name or any other personal details to use it. The only place you can give us an email address is the optional field on the Ask the wiki feedback form (see below).
Information we collect

Web cookies and similar technologies — used by Google Analytics only after you accept analytics cookies, and by third-party advertising vendors once ads are live and the required advertising consent has been obtained (see Advertising below). We do not set our own tracking cookies.

Locally stored data — your theme preference (light/dark) and your cookie-consent choice are kept in your browser’s localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.

We do not offer user accounts, request precise device location, or intentionally collect names, telephone numbers, or other directly identifying information through the Website. Apart from the optional email on the Ask the wiki feedback form, we do not collect email addresses. Please do not put personal information into a URL when linking to this site.
Ask the wiki
The Ask the wiki page answers questions with an AI that reads this wiki’s own pages. Your question is sent to Cloudflare, which hosts the site, the search index and the AI model, to produce the answer. We do not save questions or answers unless you send feedback.
- Feedback — if you use Didn’t find what you were looking for?, we save your question, the AI’s answer, the pages it cited, your message, and the email address you enter, if any. The email is optional and used only to reply to you. We do not store your IP address with feedback.
- Bot check — the page uses Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm a person is asking. Turnstile processes your browser and network signals under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Daily limits — to cap questions and feedback per person, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address combined with the date. It cannot be turned back into your IP address and is deleted automatically within two days.
To have feedback you sent deleted, email us with roughly when you sent it and what it said.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find the site. After consent, it may process usage data such as pages visited, approximate region derived from network information, browser type, device type, and referral source. We do not ask Google Analytics to identify individual visitors, and we do not send names, email addresses, or telephone numbers in analytics event data or page URLs.
Analytics and advertising storage are denied by default. A consent banner is shown on your first visit. Google Analytics cookies are enabled only after you choose Accept analytics. If you choose Decline, or do not make a choice, the denied state remains in effect and no analytics or advertising cookies are set by our Google tag. Google may receive limited, consent-mode signals that do not use those cookies. You can withdraw or grant consent at any time through the Cookies link in the footer.
Advertising
We plan to display advertising served by Google AdSense to keep this site free. Once ads are live, the following applies:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons and device identifiers) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites across the internet.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites. Ad-serving vendors and networks may collect your IP address, browser type, and pages visited in order to measure ad performance and prevent fraud.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of many third-party vendors’ cookies at www.aboutads.info/choices.

Before advertising is enabled, we will deploy a Google-certified consent management platform for visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland. That message will ask for the choices required for Google advertising before advertising cookies or personalised ads are used. You will be able to revisit those choices at any time.
The Website is a general-audience game reference and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly create advertising audiences from child-directed activity or use sensitive information—such as health, religion, ethnicity, political affiliation, or sexual orientation—to personalise advertising.
Supporting us on Ko-fi
The Support me button in the top bar and the support notes on our pages link to our page on Ko-fi, which processes tips through its own payment partners (such as Stripe and PayPal). After you have browsed for a few minutes, a small card may offer the same option; choosing Buy us a coffee opens Ko-fi’s payment panel inside that card. The panel is loaded from ko-fi.com only when you click; before that, the only file our pages fetch from Ko-fi is the small cup icon on the button. Once it loads, Ko-fi and its payment partners may set their own cookies and collect the details you enter, under Ko-fi’s privacy policy. We receive only what Ko-fi passes on to creators, such as the name and message you choose to share. We never see your card or PayPal details.
To decide when to show that card, the site keeps a few small values in your browser’s storage. For the current visit only, it stores how long you have been reading, how many pages you have opened, and whether you have used a calculator or reached the end of a guide. It also keeps the date the card was last shown, so it does not appear again for 30 days. None of these values leaves your device.
